FREE BONSAI STUDY GROUPS!
We would like to thank all the people that came out to our Bonsai Study Groups this last year. We had a blast! The Study Groups for 2016 are just around the corner and we will be starting them on the 4th Saturday in May (the 28th). By then it should be warm enough to enjoy the outside.
These Study Groups are a way for bonsai enthusiasts to receive help on their trees. There is no fee for the Study Group itself, only if you purchase something. So if you have a tree of your own that you are struggling with; not sure what to do next, or simply want some advice, bring your tree, your tools, turntable and wire to S&S Bonsai on the scheduled Saturday morning from 9AM to 12 noon.
There is not a formal leader of this group, instead, you can tap into the experience and talent of the other members of the Study Group and get their opinions and suggestions to help you decide on the direction of your tree. Anyone can attend these Study Groups, the only requirement is enthusiasm! (Age Limit, 14 years old) It is open to people of all levels of experience. So come be a student or come be a teacher, either way, you will come to have fun!!
There will be a cart available to help get your items to the work area. The work area itself has plenty of table space under a covered, well lit patio to protect us from the heat and rain.
You can check the schedule for our Study Groups by clicking on the "Calendar of Events" tab on the top of the page and you will see a calendar that shows when our Study Groups are along with other bonsai related events. If you want to attend one of our study groups, you can simply give us a call at: 719-633-9110 or if no answer, (out watering the trees!) call my cell number: 719-332-0546. It is also perfectly alright for you to just show up and attend. There is plenty of room!!
The Study Groups will be held on the 4th Saturday of each month, May through September. With the last Study Group on September 24th, 2016
If we work past lunch, you will need to make your own arrangements for food. There are a lot of restaurants or fast food joints in the area. We will supply the iced tea!!
Here's your chance to learn more about bonsai and, at the same time, develop some friendships with fellow-bonsaiers!!
See you there!
